Privacy Policy

The short version: Forge does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. Your AI conversations, journal entries, quiz answers, and progress all stay entirely on your device. No account is required to use the app.

1. Who We Are

Forge is a personal development application developed and published by Ray Y ("we", "us", or "our"), available on the Google Play Store under the package name com.human30.mapper.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect or have access to:

Your name, email address, or any account information
Your AI coaching conversations
Your journal entries
Your quiz answers or personal assessment scores
Your visions, goals, or any reflections you write
Your location data
Your device identifiers or advertising IDs

3. On-Device AI — How It Works

The AI coach in Forge runs a large language model (LLM) downloaded directly to your phone. All inference — every question you ask and every response the AI generates — happens locally on your device. No conversation data is ever sent to any server, including ours.

The model file is downloaded once from a public repository (Hugging Face) over a standard HTTPS connection and stored in your device's private application directory. After download, the AI works with no internet connection whatsoever.

4. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Forge stores the following data locally using Android's private app storage. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app:

Your quiz answers and quadrant scores
Journal entries and channel reflections you write
AI coaching conversation history
App progress (XP, streak, completed channels, programs)
Vision statements and goals you enter
Subscription status (stored locally, verified via the payment processor)

5. Subscription & Payment

Forge offers an optional subscription through the Google Play Store, processed by Google. We do not handle or store any payment information. Purchase receipts and subscription status are managed entirely by Google Play and Superwall (our paywall infrastructure provider). Please review Google's Privacy Policy and Superwall's Privacy Policy for details on their data practices.

Superwall may receive anonymised, non-identifying signals related to subscription events (e.g. "paywall shown", "purchase completed") to facilitate billing. No personal data or app content is shared.

6. Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time:

On-device data (your scores, journal entries, AI conversations, vision statements, and all other app data) is removed immediately and permanently when you uninstall the app. This data never leaves your device, so uninstalling fully erases it.
Subscription & purchase records processed by our billing provider (Superwall/Google Play) can be deleted on request. Email us at rayyin9@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request" and we will remove your associated purchase data.

7. Permissions We Request

Internet access — required to download the AI model file on first setup and to process subscription payments via Google Play. Not used during AI conversations.
Notifications — optional, used only to alert you when a timed channel practice ends. You can disable this at any time in your device settings.

8. Children's Privacy

Forge is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 18. If you believe a minor is using the app, please contact us so we can assist.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For significant changes, we will provide notice within the app.
